24 februarie, de DRAGOBETE iubește ROMÂNEȘTE!
În spiritul Dragobetelui și al primăverii, în „luna iubirii”, Muzeul Județean Aurelian Sacerdoțeanu Vâlcea, cu sprijinul Consiliul Judeţean Vâlcea , a pregătit o expoziție specială dedicată acestui sentiment nobil dragostea, cu protagoniștii săi: femeia și bărbatul.
Expoziția „Poveste de iubire” va fi deschisă la Muzeul de Istorie din Calea lui Traian, nr. 143, în perioada 24 februarie – 31 martie, iar vernisajul va avea loc luni, 24 februarie, la ora 11:00. Cu un decor care îmbină romantismul și istoria, vizitatorii vor avea ocazia să descopere obiecte de patrimoniu care reflectă diverse fațete ale iubirii, de la cuplul primordial Adam și Eva sau Marea Zeiță și Taurul Celest, până la piesele de podoabă din lumea dacilor și a romanilor, care ne dezvăluie imaginea unei femei sofisticate în ceea ce privește înfrumusețarea. De asemenea, expoziția cuprinde fragmente din viața medievală și modernă, oferind o privire asupra vestimentației cuplurilor de altădată, fie că vorbim de boieri și jupânese sau de țărani care sărbătoreau dragostea și uniunea lor prin obiecte etnografice tradiționale – lăzi de zestre, ceramică populară, icoane, țesături și altele. Sunt prezentate și cupluri celebre din istorie.
În final, vizitatorii vor putea să-și imortalizeze propria poveste de iubire într-un cadru de poveste, în mijlocul unei inimi, cu ajutorul unui aparat de fotografiat, într-o atmosferă magică și romantică.

Dragobetele, sărbătoarea iubirii la români, este prima sărbătoare care anunță primăvara, reînvierea naturii, începutul unui sezon, dar și începutul iubirii pentru mulți tineri.
Se spune că Dragobete era fiul babei Dochia, un tânăr chipeș și vesel care scotea fetele la hora din sat. De ziua lui, toată lumea trebuia să fie veselă, să dea petreceri, să primească alai de tineri veseli și să glumească.
De Dragobete există o serie de tradiții și obiceiuri care trebuie respectate, inclusiv să oferi flori persoanei iubite.
