Deputatul Cristian Buican: Azi, 12 decembrie: un succes al României!
Astăzi, 12 decembrie 2024, la Consiliul Justiției și Afaceri Interne al Uniunii Europene s-a votat în unanimitate acceptarea României în Spațiul Schengen și cu frontierele terestre. Se încheie astfel o perioadă de eforturi ale statului român pentru realizarea unor condiții egale de tratament pentru toți românii și toate mijloacele de transporturi românești care se vor putea deplasa de acum înainte liber pe toată întinderea Spațiului Schengen. Această reușită se datorează, în bună măsură, reprezentanților Partidului Naţional Liberal care de-a lungul anilor, din variatele poziții pe care le-au ocupat – președinte, prim-ministru, ministru al justiției și ministrul afacerilor interne – au acționat cu determinare și dăruire pentru recunoașterea meritelor României în asigurare unui spațiu european al legii și securității.
Intrarea deplină a României în Spațiul Schengen are o triplă semnificație; în primul rând pentru economie, pentru transportul de mărfuri și creșterea PIB-ului; apoi pentru deplasarea cetățenilor români în interiorul Spațiului Schengen; în fine, la nivel simbolic, pentru recunoașterea egalității în drepturi a țării noastre cu celelalte membre ale Spațiului Schengen.
