Direcția Silvică Vâlcea a dat startul Lunii Plantării Arborilor și a campaniei de împăduriri de primăvară printr-o acțiune de împădurire la Ocolul Silvic Râmnicu Vâlcea, cu participarea voluntarilor din cadrul Inspectoratului Școlar Judetean, punând bazele proiectului ,,Padurile Erasmus+”.
La eveniment au participat, alături de silvicultorii Direcției Silvice Vâlcea, cadrele didactice și elevii din cadrul Inspectoratului Școlar Județean Vâlcea, Liceul Tehnologic Forestier, Colegiul Energetic, Colegiul Național de Informatică “Matei Basarab”, Liceul Tehnologic “General Magheru”.
Scopul acestui proiect constă în plantarea a 5000 de puieți pe o suprafață de 1 ha, în Fețeni, județul Vâlcea.
În campania de împăduriri de primăvară, Direcția Silvică Vâlcea regenerează natural 78 hectare, artificial 52 de hectare, folosind un număr de aproximativ 300 000 de puieți produși în pepiniere proprii
