Pariul Primăriei pe învățământul preuniversitar: 25 de proiecte cu fonduri nerambursabile și zeci de investiții finanțate de la bugetul local au transformat fundamental unitățile școlare și preșcolare din Râmnic
În ultimii ani, Primăria Municipiului Râmnicu Vâlcea a continuat să acorde o atenție deosebită dezvoltării bazei materiale a învățământului local, fapt relevat și de cele 25 de proiecte cu fonduri nerambursabile accesate până acum de Municipalitate și destinate unităților școlare și preșcolare.
Astfel, în cadrul Programului Operațional Regional POR 2014 – 2020 au beneficiat de reabilitări, modernizări sau dotări importante internatul și cantina Colegiului Național „Mircea cel Bătrân”, Grădinița cu program prelungit Ostroveni 1 , Școala Gimnazială nr. 13, Colegiul Național de Informatică „Matei Basarab” sau Școala Gimnazială I.G. Duca.
În cadrul Programului Operațional Infrastructură Mare POIM 2014 – 2020 a fost obținută finanțarea pentru proiectul „Consolidarea capacităţii unităților de învățământ preuniversitar de stat în vederea gestionării situației de pandemie generată de virusul Sars-Cov2”, care a constat în dotarea cu materiale sanitare și echipamente de protecție și dezinfecție a 45 de unități din învățământul preuniversitar din municipiu. Și tot prin POIM, la Colegiul Național „Alexandru Lahovari”, Liceul Tehnologic „General Magheru”, Școala „Waldorf”, Școala Gimnazială nr. 13 și la grădinițele Ostroveni 1, Ostroveni 2, Nord 1 și Nord 2 s-au montat panouri fotovoltaice care produc energia „verde” necesară funcționării acestor unități.
A venit apoi rândul proiectelor finanțate prin Planul Național de Redresare și Reziliență, în baza cărora s-a construit creșa de pe strada Morilor (ce va primi în toamna aceasta primii preșcolari), se află în stadiu avansat de execuție creșa de pe Islazul Goranu, se renovează energetic Liceul Sanitar „Antim Ivireanul” și Colegiul Energetic și se derulează lucrări de creștere a eficienței energetice la Seminarul Teologic „Sfantul Nicolae”, Grădinița cu program prelungit Traian, Colegiul Național „Mircea cel Bătrân”, Liceul Tehnologic „Ferdinand I”, Grădinița cu program prelungit „Cozia”, Școala Gimnazială nr. 5, Grădinița cu program prelungit nr. 14 și Școala Gimnazială Colonie. Tot prin PNRR s-a obținut o finanțare de aproape 9 milioane de euro pentru proiectul „Dotarea cu mobilier, materiale didactice și echipamente digitale a unităților de învățământ preuniversitar din Municipiul Râmnicu Vâlcea” de care vor beneficia 27 de unități școlare; proiectul este în plină derulare la acest moment, furnizându-se o parte din echipamentele digitale și fiind în curs înlocuirea mobilierului în sălile de clase.
Nu au fost neglijate nici liniile de finanțare naționale și, ca urmare, Râmnicul se poate lăuda cu două noi grădinițe: Ostroveni Sud și nr. 16 din zona Nord, precum și cu un corp multifuncțional realizat la Școala Waldorf (cele trei proiecte fiind finanțate prin Programul Național de Dezvoltare Durabilă), dar și cu noua sală de sport de la Liceul Sanitar „Antim Ivireanul”, realizată prin Compania Națională pentru Investiții.
Totodată, zeci de lucrări de modernizări și reparații de școli și grădinițe au fost finanțate din taxele și impozitele locuitorilor; în urma lor, printre altele, s-au reabilitat sălile de festivități de la colegiile „Matei Basarab”, „Mircea cel Bătrân” și de la Liceul de Arte „Victor Giuleanu”, s-au realizat săli de sport noi la Liceul Tehnologic „General Magheru” și la Liceul de Arte „Victor Giuleanu”, s-au reabilitat structurile sportive școlare de la Colegiul Național „Mircea cel Bătrân” (sala de sport și, foarte recent, terenul sportiv), Colegiul Economic și de la Școala Gimnazială „Anton Pann” sau au fost extinse spațiile de curs la Colegiul Energetic.
Pariul Municipalității pe învățământul preuniversitar din Râmnic rămâne valabil și pentru viitor: primul proiect pentru care s-a obținut finanțare în noul program european Regio 2021 – 2027 vizează tot o unitate școlară: Școala Gimnazială Nr.. 4.
